GeoPoint Systems, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand, location-based multimedia content to cell phones and other mobile devices, announced today that it has launched the first in a series of self-guided, walking cell phone audio tours of Rochester’s historic Mount Hope Cemetery. The tour will feature the "Top 21 Stops", including Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony’s places of rest, in the beautiful Rochester landmark. Those interested in taking the self-guided tour will need only the tour map and their cell phone. Maps can be picked up at The Distillery Sports Bar across the street from Mount Hope Cemetery (1142 Mt. Hope Avenue), the Greater Rochester Visitors Association office at 45 East Avenue in downtown Rochester or downloaded off www.oncellaudio.com. Payment for the $3.95 Top 21 Stops Tour can be made with any major credit card by dialing the tour line - 585.419.9758, and following the prompts. The company will donate $0.50 from each sale to The Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery. "We’re very excited about the launch of the new tour", says GeoPoint President & CEO Thomas Dunne, "This tour will give us an opportunity to showcase our service to the public while providing Rochester with a fun and educational outdoor experience." The tour is described by Kevin Dooley, GeoPoint’s VP of Market Development: "its part scavenger hunt, part exercise, and part history lesson as people follow the OnCell Audio map to the gravesites of some very interesting historical figures. Once they find the point of interest, tour takers use their own cell phone to listen to a brief summary of that person’s life."
